1. Acceptance & eligibility
By creating an account or using Landbid, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Landbid. If you're using Landbid on behalf of a company or agency, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your account
One account per person. Keep your password and API key secret — you're responsible for everything that happens on your account, including bid generation, refinements, and API calls.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. The Studio plan includes additional seats; each seat is one person.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Landbid is offered on monthly subscription tiers (Starter, Pro, Studio). Pricing for each tier is listed on the pricing page.
Trials. The Starter plan includes a 7-day free trial. Cancel inside the window and you won't be charged. Pro and Studio do not include a trial; the first invoice is charged at checkout.
Billing cycles. For the Starter trial, your card is charged at the end of the trial period; thereafter at the start of each monthly period. Pro and Studio bill at the start of each monthly period from day one. Failed payments may suspend access until resolved.
Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle — you keep your higher tier until then.
Refunds. Inside the Starter 7-day trial: no charge if you cancel. For Pro and Studio, and for Starter after the trial: we don't pro-rate partial months, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. Where local law requires refunds beyond this, we'll honor that.
Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. Where required, taxes will be added at checkout.
4. Bid quotas & usage
Each subscription tier includes a monthly cap on first-pass bid generations. Refinements through the chat interface do not count against your quota.
Quotas reset on the first day of each calendar month. Unused bids don't roll over. Hitting your cap pauses generation until the next reset or until you upgrade — your existing bids, templates, and analytics remain fully accessible.
The Studio plan is uncapped subject to fair use. Sustained patterns that suggest automated or commercial-scale resale of bids may trigger review and, if confirmed, account suspension.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Landbid to:
- ●Submit proposals for work you don't intend to perform or aren't qualified to perform
- ●Impersonate another freelancer or misrepresent your identity
- ●Generate content that's illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights
- ●Resell bid generation as your own service to other freelancers
- ●Reverse-engineer Landbid's system prompts or attempt to bypass rate limits and quotas
- ●Probe, scan, or interfere with the security of the service
- ●Submit content you don't have the right to share (such as confidential RFP material under NDA)
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.
6. Your content
You own everything you put into Landbid: profile data, tone samples, portfolio entries, job descriptions, generated cover letters, chat history, and saved templates.
You grant Landbid the limited license needed to operate the service — storing your data in our database, sending the relevant portions to LLM providers when you generate or refine a bid, and rendering it back to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You're responsible for what you submit. Landbid doesn't pre-screen content but may remove or refuse to process content that clearly violates these terms.
7. Our intellectual property
The Landbid source code is open source under the MIT License. You can read it, fork it, run your own copy, and contribute fixes back.
The Landbid name, wordmark, trajectory mark, and overall brand presentation are not covered by the MIT License and remain ours. Don't represent your fork or another product as "Landbid" or use the brand in a way that suggests endorsement.
8. Third-party services
Landbid works by calling out to third-party services on your behalf: an LLM provider for generation, a payment processor for billing, infrastructure providers for hosting. Their terms apply to those interactions.
We don't control how those providers operate, and we're not responsible for changes they make, outages they have, or content moderation decisions they enforce.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep Landbid running reliably, but we don't promise specific uptime numbers. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, security work, or to address an issue with a provider. When possible, we'll give notice.
We may change, add, or remove features over time. Material changes that reduce what your plan includes will be communicated in advance.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
AI output isn't guaranteed. Landbid's bids are generated by language models that can produce inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content. You're responsible for reviewing every bid before sending it. Estimates of hours and pricing are heuristic, not professional advice.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Landbid's total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We won't be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost opportunities.
11. Termination
You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these terms, fail to pay, or create legal or security risk for the service. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to fix the issue first.
Sections that should reasonably survive termination — including your content ownership, our IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be set by the operator], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
13. Changes to these terms
When we update these terms, the "last updated" date at the top of the page changes. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new version. If you don't accept, cancel your account before the changes take effect.
